Knox, Indiana — [July16th, 2025] — Starke County Sheriff Jack Rosa is officially launching his re-election campaign, pledging to continue building on the accomplishments of his first term and reinforcing his unwavering commitment to public safety, drug prevention, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

A 40-year veteran of law enforcement, Rosa was first elected Sheriff in 2022 and has led the Sheriff’s Office with a clear focus: proactive crime prevention, rehabilitation over recidivism, and integrity-driven leadership. His campaign slogan, “Experience, Integrity, and Results” reflects the deep trust the Starke County community has placed in his leadership.

Accomplishments from Rosa’s First Term Include:

Clearing two murder investigations within just four months—one within three days—resulting in swift arrests.


Establishing a Drug Task Force in partnership with the DEA bringing critical resources and credibility to Starke County’s anti-drug initiatives.


Ongoing support for the Sheriff’s Farm Program, fostering rehabilitation and job readiness for inmates.


Launching addiction recovery and job-readiness programs focused on post-incarceration support—aimed at breaking the cycle of drug dependency and helping former inmates successfully reintegrate into the community.


Overseeing the department’s multi-million-dollar budget with transparency and fiscal
responsibility, while enhancing patrols and response times.


Rosa’s extensive law enforcement experience includes serving as a Deputy U.S. Marshal for over two decades, alongside prior roles in Hamilton and Howard Counties. His experience ranges from narcotics enforcement to 9/11 ground response, to fugitive task force operations.


“Experience, integrity, and results aren’t just words—they’re the foundation of everything I’ve done in this role,” Rosa said. Leadership in law enforcement isn’t just about enforcing laws—it’s about building trust, working with the community, and preparing people for a better future after they leave our jail,” said Rosa. “We’ve made progress, but I know we can do even more.”
